The Role of Financial Literacy, Locus of Control, and Financial Inclusion on Financial Behaviour of MSME Actors in the Urban Trade Center of Semarang City

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between financial literacy, locus of control, and financial inclusion on the financial behaviour of MSME actors operating in the Urban Trade Center of Semarang City. The study employed Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with a Partial Least Square (PLS) approach, involving 55 MSME participants. The results indicate that both financial literacy and financial inclusion positively influence financial behaviour. In addition, the analysis confirms that financial literacy, locus of control, and financial inclusion jointly contribute significantly to the financial behaviour of MSME actors. These findings underscore the importance of improving financial knowledge, strengthening internal control beliefs, and increasing access to financial services in order to support better financial decision-making among MSME entrepreneurs in Semarang’s urban trade environment.
